Ms. James is also a Criminal Defense attorney. This added experience is a vital extension of her Family Law practice where accusations, convictions and past behavior are always relevant when child custody and visitation are at stake.
Due to the sensitive nature of domestic issues, Family Law attorneys also find themselves in the ‘de facto’ role of a therapist. You need someone with intuition and compassion, as well as both professional and life experience to help get you through these difficult times.
A lifelong resident of Los Angeles’ South Bay area, Ms. James graduated Magna Cum Laude from Vanguard University before attending Whittier Law School in Orange County, California where she won numerous scholarships and awards. In her early Family Law career, she was a volunteer mediator at the Torrance Courthouse as well as the Center for Children’s Rights and Children’s Advocacy Clinic during law school.
Interesting Facts: Ms. James has traveled most of the California Coastline on rollerblades and is a certified SCUBA Diver.
